UFC Fight Night preview Kattar vs Allen

UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Allen By Michael Jones - @keepingitrealmma &  Dave Manley - @mmabobblehead One fight to rule them all, one fight to sign them up.  One fight to bring them all and in the darkness bind them... up?                We may not be coerced into watching this entire card, but we for damn sure signed up to ESPN-plus so we may indulge in a fight of this caliber. If that means dragging ass through an under card fight or a prelim to get to the light that is Calvin Kattar vs. Arnold Allen, then so be it. We will walk through that darkness together, as friends.            1. Calvin Kattar (23-6) vs. Arnold Allen (18-1)                             This is a very similar situation to last weekend's barn burners, where Beneil Dariush and Belal Muhammad had to fight the shooting star up and comer. The difference here might be that Arnold is just a bit more tested. That being said, this is last call, if you haven't been on board the Arnold Allen hype train then now

UFC 280 Oliveira vs Makhachev extended preview

UFC 280: Oliveira vs Makhachev  Fight Island Preview By Michael Jones - @keepingitrealmma &  Dave Manley - @mmabobblehead               We've done it boys and girls, we've made it to the promise land of mixed martial arts, no not the U.A.E.,  I'm talking about the octagon specifically being built for the imminently historic title fight that is Charles Oliveira vs. Khabib's protege' Islam Makhachev. Maybe this card was designed to showcase the second coming of a Dagestan King, but we won't let that business bias kick our mood. Noted combat sports writers are calling this the MMA card of the year. So Let's get right into it!           1. Charles Oliveira (33-8-1NC) vs. Islam Makhachev (22-1)                                     If I were looking at these guys on paper for the very first time, what jumps out to me is the difference in record. Charles has been  through the gauntlet, finished by some of the most notorious grinders UFC lightweight history has

Preview UFC FN: Grasso vs Araujo

UFC Fight Night: Grasso vs Araujo The Calm Before The Storm  By Michael Jones - @keepingitrealmma &  Dave Manley - @mmabobblehead               We're just about to dive in the deep end of elite Mixed Martial Arts. We're one week away from another fight island card, the home of UFC 280, a true top to bottom rager with 3 title fights and a contentious preliminary main event that will knock your socks off. But! Before all that, the rule of the dinner table says you must finish your plate and all the veggies before you get dessert. This card is a second helping of those veggies, but we'll do our darnedest to make it fun, add a little sriracha to the mix. Maybe even some A-1 steak sauce? Yeah this isn't about food, I'm not hungry while writing this, anyway, moving on.                 1. Alexa Grasso (14-3) vs. Viviane Araujo (11-3)                                  This main event was originally booked back in early August, sandwiched somewhere in the middle of a mi
